My new big pick is WWEI.
My first ever alert on First Solar was back on June 14th 2007, at the time it was trading at $76.22. It then went on to hit $317 a share!!
Now I’m telling you about WWEI near it’s lowest levels so make sure it’s on your watch list. Wind is the next big industry to explode.
Have you been to China lately? I visited China last year and the pollution over there is outrageous. Imagine sticking your face in a car tailpipe and breathing that’s what its like. Since coming back from China I have developed asthma and occasionally have to use an inhaler.
Coal supplies 70% of the electricity in China today and this has created a pollution crisis. 16 of the world’s 20 most polluted cities are in China. It is easy to understand why China’s government is placing such a major emphasis on Wind Energy!
Getting involved in an industry at it’s infancy has proved to be hugely profitable for savvy investors. Those lucky enough to get into computer companies like Dell and HP when they were pennies got returns that were in the thousands % wise!!!
I believe WWEI is going to be a pioneer in the wind power industry.
WWEI currently has some huge projects that are being negotiated with Chinese companies.
Ningxia Group is the crown utility for the Province which owns a 260 MW project in the Inner-Mongolia region of China. Ningxia is a leader in the wind industry and is one of the first companies to install a project of this magnitude.
WWEI have signed a letter of intent to enter into a joint venture with Ningxia on additional 100 MW project that is located close to the existing 260 MW project.
By the end of 2006, Ningxia Electric Power Group assets totaled 6.2 billion Yuan (US$906 Million), and sales revenues were above 2 billion Yuan (US$300 Million). The company has approximately 4,500 employees.
For WWEI to be partnered up with a company this big is a huge milestone for the company. I believe when the street hears about this the stock, it could explode.
WWEI has already received a commitment guaranteeing financing up to $120 Million for their wind projects in inner Mongolia. The final arrangement will be subject to the usual due diligence of the projects. This is a not stock based financing, but rather debt financing, which will not impact the company’s shares by further dilution.
WWEI currently has wind turbines in Zhanjiang and Yangxi. You can view video of the ground breaking ceremonies at: http://www.welwind.com/
Although WWEI has projects in China, they plan to develop wind farms around the world. WWEI is actually a North American based company with offices in San Diego and Canada.
I would not be surprised to see WWEI start developing in the US.
T Boone Pickens, the billionaire hedge fund manager who started off in the oil industry has set out to build the world’s largest wind farm right here in America.
His wind farm will produce enough power for 1.3 million homes. View this video he gives about wind power: http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Sooner or later all the power in the US could switch to wind power, and WWEI could be one of the companies setting up the turbines!!!
Make sure you do your research on WWEI and add it to your watch list.
